- A Department of Homeland Security official told journalists that the man who can be seen on his phone at the top of the wall is a human smuggler.
- The smuggler has reportedly told journalists that he brings illegal immigrants to the border every morning.
- “The Border Patrol union…tells me this is what happens when so many agents are pulled off front line field patrol to do administrative/processing duties instead, and when the few agents who are on patrol are already occupied tracking down/chasing other groups,” Melugin concluded.
