Ilhan Omar Claims ICE Sending ‘Illegal Aliens’ to ‘Dungeons’

At a town hall near Nashville, Rep. Ilhan Omar asserted that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been abducting undocumented immigrants and sending them to “dungeons in foreign countries.” She claimed these migrants have disappeared without explanation, raising serious due process concerns.

Omar spoke at Cane Ridge High School, where ICE was barred from entering. She also called for universal healthcare, reduced military spending, and a ban on masked ICE agents during enforcement operations.

Her remarks followed the recent Trump administration funding package, which allocates billions for hiring more ICE agents and improving detention facilities. She denounced the spending as morally wrong and inconsistent with American values.

Supporters at the event included Democrat state Rep. Justin Jones, who compared ICE raids to kidnappings and likened their actions to KKK-style terror. He noted that among the nearly 200 individuals arrested in recent Nashville raids, many had serious criminal histories. Of the 196 arrested, 95 had past convictions or pending charges, and 31 had prior deportations. Those arrested included individuals convicted of rape and drug offenses.

ICE has reported a rise in assaults on its officers in Texas, where gunmen fired on agents in two separate incidents last month.
