Surprise Eyewitness Claims She Saw Kohberger at Idaho Murder Scene

A new twist has emerged in the Idaho college killings as a surprise eyewitness has come forward, claiming she saw suspect Bryan Kohberger at the crime scene just minutes before the murders. The woman, who identified herself as a DoorDash driver, told police during a DUI stop that she parked next to Kohberger while delivering food to one of the victims, Xana Kernodle, shortly before the fatal stabbings.

“I have to testify in a big murder case here… because I’m the DoorDash driver, so yeah,” she said in a police bodycam video from September 2024, now posted on YouTube. When asked which case, she replied, “The murder case with the college girls… I saw Bryan there. I parked right next to him.”

This account aligns with previous findings that Kernodle received a food delivery less than 10 minutes before the murders occurred at 4 a.m. on November 13, 2022. Prosecutors allege Kohberger’s DNA was found on a knife sheath under one of the victims, Madison Mogen, and phone records placed him near the scene. Kohberger, a criminology Ph.D. student at nearby Washington State University, has pleaded not guilty.

The driver may face credibility issues, as police accused her of driving under the influence during the stop. However, her testimony could strengthen the state’s already substantial circumstantial case.

As she stated bluntly in the video, “I saw Bryan there.” That one sentence may become a critical turning point in a trial that has already captivated the nation.
