ICE Arrests Tren de Aragua Gang Member After Criminal Convictions

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have arrested a known member of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in Denver, Colorado. The individual had multiple criminal convictions in the United States and was the subject of a final deportation order.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, had been convicted of theft and weapons-related offenses. ICE confirmed the gang member was previously ordered removed from the country but had remained illegally in the United States.

Authorities captured the individual without incident during an enforcement operation. ICE emphasized that removing dangerous criminal aliens like this gang member is essential to protecting American communities from transnational threats.

Tren de Aragua is known for its extreme violence, human trafficking, and drug smuggling activities throughout South America and increasingly in the United States. Law enforcement agencies have warned that the gang’s expansion poses a serious public safety risk.

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officials stated that criminals who enter the U.S. illegally and endanger the public will face arrest and deportation. Federal immigration authorities continue to prioritize the removal of individuals with gang affiliations and violent criminal histories.

The arrest underscores the importance of robust interior enforcement policies and cooperation between federal and local law enforcement to maintain the safety and security of American citizens.
