ICE Arrests 26 Illegal Immigrant Sex Offenders in California

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 26 illegal immigrant sex offenders in California during a two-day sting operation.

Some of the offenders are pedophiles.

The Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) announced in a press release that three individuals engaged in sexual conduct with minors, a 19-year-old, a 40-year-old, and a 35-year-old.

“The outcome of this operation exemplifies the professionalism, dedication and commitment of ERO Los Angeles officers to public safety,” ERO Los Angeles FOD Thomas Giles said. “Removing these individuals and the threats they represent from our communities is our mission, and we will continue to safely and effectively enforce the immigration laws of our nation.”

Throughout fiscal year 22, ERO arrested 46,396 illegal immigrants with a criminal background.

“In fiscal year 2022, ERO arrested 46,396 noncitizens with criminal histories,” the press release added. “This group had 198,498 associated charges and convictions, including 21,531 assault offenses, 8,164 sex and sexual assault offenses, 5,554 weapons offenses, 1,501 homicide-related offenses, and 1,114 kidnapping offenses.”

American Faith reported that a Las Vegas sting operation resulted in 74 individuals being arrested.

“During this operation, we arrested 36 individuals for pandering, or more commonly known as sex trafficking, 31 people who were trying to purchase sex for money, 7 individuals for luring a child or soliciting a minor. This was part of a covert operation where the sex buyer believed they were meeting an underage victim for sex,” Captain Hector Cintron described.

More than 200 victims were recovered in total.
