Hunter Biden’s Business Partner Devon Archer Sentenced to Year in Prison

Hunter Biden’s close friend and former business partner Devon Archer was sentenced to a year in prison for his role in a $60 million fraud scheme against a Native American tribe.

  • Biden reportedly worked closely with Archer’s company, Burnham Financial Group, which perpetrated the fraud between 2014-2016.
MORE ON BIDEN’S CONNECTION TO THE CRIMES:
  • Biden was allegedly implicated in the business due to emails between Archer and the former second son in July of 2014, when plans were made for Burnham to buy Hunter Biden’s financial firm, Rosemont Seneca.
  • Biden was not implicated in the fraud, however, it emerged during the trial that Hunter Biden’s name was used in literature promoting the scheme.
  • Biden’s lawyer George Mesires claimed, “As soon as Hunter learned of the illegal conduct, and that his name was being used in this unauthorized and inappropriate manner, Hunter took immediate steps to ensure that his business interests would not be associated with the Burnham Group or with any of the defendants.”
BACKGROUND:
  • Archer and two other Burnham Financial Group executives were convicted in 2018 of defrauding the Oglala Sioux Indian tribe out of bond proceeds.
  • Both Archer and Biden joined the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burma Holdings in April 2014, as previously reported by Breitbart News, which was the same year that Archer was photographed with then-Vice President Joe Biden in Southhampton, New York.
