Hunter Biden Laptop Emails Reveal Efforts To Remove Wikipedia Information

Emails found on the Hunter Biden laptop reveal that efforts were had to remove information from the supposedly-neutral Wikipedia.

The information was first reported by journalist Lee Fang.

While working with FBI Consulting, Hunter Biden desired to change some of the content found on his Wikipedia page.

“Ryan- below is a start. Eric is my partner and cc’d- he’s going to make additional edits,” an email reads, featuring an image of what he sought to remove from the site.

After Biden made his request, the Wikipedia profile’s edit history shows that anonymous accounts entered changes.

Some of the changes included adding references to volunteer work and the removal of information relating to Biden’s association with Allen Stanford, a disgraced financier.

Another anonymous Wikipedia account known as “Earflaps” removed criticism of Biden’s connection to Burisma, a Ukrainian energy firm.

“Earflaps” was later revealed to be an account associated with PR firms working to manage the image of Russian businessmen.

Reporting from Reclaim the Net:

It wasn’t just Hunter; Burisma itself employed FTI Consulting to amplify its presence on Wikipedia. Vadim Pozharskyi, an advisor to Burisma, even categorized Wikipedia management as a vital “PR issue.”
