Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71. Hogan was at home with family when he reportedly experienced a cardiac arrest.
“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” WWE said in a statement. “One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
During the 2024 Republican National Convention, Hogan took the stage to convey his support for Donald Trump.
“My name is Terry Bollea, as an entertainer, I tried to stay out of politics, but after everything that’s happened to our country the past 4 years, and everything that happened last weekend, I can no longer stay silent,” he said. “Donald Trump is a real American hero. I’m proud to support my hero as the next president of this United States.”
“I’ve known that man for over 35 years, and he’s always been the biggest patriot, and he still is,” Hogan added. “He’s always told you exactly what he thought, and he still does, brother. No matter the odds, he always finds a way to win.”
“RIP to the great Hulk Hogan, who lived right here in FL-13. It was an honor to be your Representative. Gone, but the legend of Hulkamania will run wild forever,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) wrote on X.
