Honduran Gang Member Arrested in Oklahoma After Committing Violent Kidnapping on Christmas Eve

A Honduran illegal immigrant and gang member, Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy, was arrested in Oklahoma after committing a violent Christmas Eve kidnapping in Texas. The 35-year-old criminal abducted a young woman at gunpoint, subjected her to terrifying threats, and displayed shocking arrogance during his confession.

Godoy targeted a 22-year-old woman in a Haltom City parking lot as she approached her vehicle. Forcing her into the backseat, he drove to an ATM and made her withdraw cash. He then transported her to Grapevine, Texas, where he tied her to a tree using her shoelaces and threatened to sell her organs or force her into prostitution.

The woman’s resilience saved her life. She managed to free herself and sought help from nearby residents, prompting law enforcement to act swiftly.

Police entered the victim’s vehicle into national databases, leading to its discovery in Oklahoma City on Christmas Day. Godoy was found inside the car and arrested. He later confessed to the crime with chilling indifference, showing no remorse.

Haltom City Police Sergeant Rick Alexander described Godoy’s attitude:

“He smirked a lot, he giggled, and, you know, was almost proud of what he did.”

Godoy, who has an active ICE detainer, had previously been deported to Honduras, where he admitted to being a gang member. Authorities revealed that he had been arrested before for similar crimes.

He now faces aggravated kidnapping and robbery charges in Texas, along with multiple felonies in Oklahoma, including unauthorized use of a vehicle and firearm offenses. He is being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center, awaiting extradition to Texas.

This violent incident highlights the urgent need for stricter immigration enforcement and public safety measures. Godoy’s criminal actions—and his ability to re-enter the U.S. despite a previous deportation—underscore the dangers posed by lenient border policies. Law-abiding citizens continue to pay the price for government inaction on securing the border and addressing criminal illegal immigration.
