Hollywood’s Best Couldn’t Mask Biden’s Decline, New Book Reveals

A forthcoming book, Original Sin by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson, exposes the extensive efforts by Hollywood elites to bolster President Joe Biden’s public image during the 2024 campaign. Despite interventions from figures like Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg, these attempts failed to conceal Biden’s cognitive challenges.

Katzenberg, a longtime Biden supporter, organized high-dollar fundraisers and sought to enhance Biden’s on-camera presence by improving lighting and sound. He enlisted Spielberg to coach Biden for significant events, including the State of the Union address and campaign videos. However, these efforts could not compensate for Biden’s evident struggles.

A pivotal moment occurred at a Hollywood fundraiser hosted by actor George Clooney. Witnesses reported that Biden failed to recognize Clooney, prompting an aide to remind him of the actor’s identity. This incident deeply unsettled Clooney, who had previously expressed concerns about Biden’s health. Shortly thereafter, Clooney publicly urged Biden to withdraw from the race.

The book details how these revelations have intensified scrutiny over the Democratic Party’s handling of Biden’s health issues and the transparency of its leadership. As questions persist, the party faces mounting pressure to address the implications of these disclosures.
