Head of ‘Democrat Party’ in North Carolina Arrested for Removing Trump Campaign Signs

Lowell Simon, the head of the Democrat Party in Moore County, admitted to removing Trump campaign signs, a clear violation of the law.

Simon confessed, stating, “My worse angels got the better of me and I removed the signs. I shouldn’t have done that.”

The incident occurred in broad daylight, not under cover of darkness, as Simon himself acknowledged, saying, “I did it when it was five o’clock in the afternoon.”

A Moore County sheriff’s deputy, while on an unrelated call, observed Simon removing the signs along Seven Lakes Drive.

The deputy followed up at Simon’s residence, where the signs were found in his vehicle. Simon was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny, and a warrant for his arrest was issued. He has been released on a written promise to appear in court on October 30, 2024.

Simon admitted his wrongdoing but also called for equal treatment under the law, stating, “If people are going to break the law, myself included, there should be consequences, the law should be applied equally.”

Despite his claims of facing similar theft of Democrat signs, Simon acknowledged his actions were wrong and that he must face the consequences.
