A group of bystanders reportedly beat up an illegal alien accused of raping a young girl in New York.
New York City police officers arrested Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, a 25-year-old from Ecuador, after good Samaritans held him down until they arrived.
According to video of the incident, Inga-Landi was beaten up to the point of hiding under a car to protect himself.
CBS News reported that the illegal was taken to the hospital from his apparent injuries.
“It was good police work,” retired NYPD Sergeant Joseph Giacalone said. “They got the drawings out of the suspect and his tattoo, and then were able to secure the surveillance photo and … some help from the public – but that’s how it’s supposed to work.”
Inga-Landi, who allegedly crossed the southern border in 2021, reportedly ambushed a 13-year-old boy and girl walking in a remote part of Kissena Park armed with a “large machete-style knife.”
He then forced the pair off the path and tied their wrists together with shoe laces, molesting the young girl.
