Giant Cross Removed from San Diego Mobile Home Park

A giant cross has reportedly been moved on a hill overlooking a mobile home park in a San Diego town.

“Sad, disappointed,” said one resident. “My husband just had this in his heart.”

The resident, Joyce, said her family put the cross on the hill after painting and customizing the wood.

“He was hoping someone would be able to see it and bring them closer to God,” she continued. “They had expressed to me that it was a blessing. They loved it, really excited it was up,” Joyce said of her neighbors response.

The mobile home park manager allegedly ordered the cross come down, saying residents could not build on the hill.

“We cannot have people constructing whatever they like on the property,” the manager reportedly said.

After receiving a slew of support from social media users once the story became public, Joyce said the family plans to build smaller, 4 to 6-foot crosses, and donate them to anyone who wants them.

“One cross got put down. We want to put down hundreds more,” Joyce stated. “We just hope to inspire the community around us… help more people willing to put God in their heart.”
