Ghislaine Maxwell Attended Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding, Skipped Deposition

Another batch of unsealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein revealed that Ghislaine Maxwell skipped a deposition to attend Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

Maxwell initially agreed to the deposition, coordinating a “convenient time and place” with Epstein victim Virginia Guiffre, the New York Post reported.

“At the eleventh hour Maxwell’s attorney informed plaintiff’s counsel that Maxwell’s mother was very ill and that consequently Maxwell was leaving the country with no plans to return,” the documents said, describing events surrounding Maxwell’s subpoena in 2009.

The deposition was canceled and Maxwell was photographed at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

The information “confirm[ed] the suspicion that she was indeed still in the country and willing to say anything to avoid her deposition,” according to the files.

Maxwell revealed in 2022 that she had a “special” relationship with former President Bill Clinton.

“It was a special friendship, which continued over the years,” she said. “We had lots in common. I feel bad that he is another victim, only because of his association with Jeffrey. I understand that he, like others, can no longer consider me as a friend.”
