According to GasBuddy, the price of gas is expected to go down in 2025 under the Trump administration.
“2025 looks to continue the trend of slow-but-steady improvement at the pump,” GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis Patrick De Haan told CNN.
GasBuddy’s prediction shows that the national average for regular gas will fall below $3.22 cents.
A recent Fox News Poll shows President-elect Donald Trump’s return to the White House has left more than half of voters feeling optimistic about the future. Among those surveyed, 54% said they felt hopeful, while 50% reported feeling relieved. Nearly half (48%) expressed excitement over the election outcome.
Negative emotions were also recorded, with 46% of respondents saying they felt scared, 40% depressed, and 39% angry. Partisan divisions were stark. Among Republicans, 91% felt hopeful, 90% relieved, and 86% excited. In contrast, 77% of Democrats reported feeling scared, 69% angry, and 68% depressed.
The economy remains the top issue for voters, with 34% naming it as their primary concern. Immigration and border security ranked second at 21%, followed by health care at 8%. Other issues fell below double digits.
When asked about priorities for Trump’s presidency, 60% of voters agreed that lowering food and gas prices should be his primary focus. This priority enjoyed bipartisan support, with 49% of Democrats, 69% of Republicans, and 63% of Independents calling it essential. Cutting taxes for individuals was the second most important issue at 47%, followed by strengthening national defense at 42%.
The findings suggest Trump’s economic agenda, particularly addressing inflation, resonates broadly across party lines. Voters’ emphasis on reducing living costs reflects ongoing concerns about the financial strain caused by rising prices.
