Fox News host and former Press Secretary for George W. Bush, Dana Perino, is at the center of conversation due to her recent appearance at a ‘Clinton Global Initiative’ annual meeting, just days prior to her moderating role at the Wednesday GOP presidential debate on Fox News.

Fox News is characterized by many as a right-wing network, raising questions about one of its major anchors attending and apparently supporting a left-wing organization like the Clinton Global Initiative.

Perino, who has a history in politics as a press secretary for the George W. Bush administration, took the stage at the Clinton Global Initiative’s meeting held Sept 18–19, where she introduced Hillary Clinton, the 2016 presidential candidate.

At this event, Perino introduced Clinton as “the amazing Secretary Hillary Clinton” and facilitated discussions as a moderator at several globalist round tables, National File emphasizes.

The gathering was notably close to the GOP debate moderated by Perino, occurring just a week afterward.

The debate also featured Stuart Varney from Fox and Ilia Calderón, a reporter from Univision, as co-moderators.

During her introduction of Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting, Perino was recorded saying, “You are here to see the amazing Secretary Hillary Clinton.”

As Clinton approached the podium, the attendees witnessed a friendly and close handshake between the two prominent figures.

Perino announced, “Here she is,” allowing Clinton to take center stage and address the assembly.

Interestingly, video footage of the occasion shows Perino assuming a posture reminiscent of a soldier snapping to attention as Clinton makes her appearance, National File notes.

This recent interaction between Perino and Clinton has raised eyebrows given its proximity to the Fox News’ GOP debate, where Dana Perino had a critical role as a moderator for the ostensibly conservative network.

Perino turned heads in June 2022 for apparently condoning her network’s support for the transgender movement, when Fox News ran a video segment covering journalist Bryan Llenas’ reporting on biological female and teenager Ryland Whittington’s gender transition for LGBTQ “Pride Month.”

Perino opened the segment, titled “California transgender teen, family hope to be an inspiration to others,” saying, “Pride month continues as we highlight Ryland Whittington, whose journey of transitioning at age five has been seen by seven million people in a family YouTube video.”

“Before Ryland could even speak, he managed to tell his parents that he is a boy,” Llenas narrated over the segment as images of Ryland as a toddler wearing a dress and bows in her hair flashed across the screen.

“And unlike some trans kids, when Ryland came out at age five, a few years later, he had the full support of his parents,” said Llenas.

The reporter went on to describe Ryland’s parents’ allowing their young daughter to transition as a display of “extraordinary courage,” after that lamenting how “people are afraid of what they do not understand,” implying that opposition to the Whittington parents’ decision is ignorant.
“This family hopes their story will lead to more understanding, more acceptance, and ultimately more love,” Llenas concluded.
