Former Trump Attorney Submits Himself to Fulton County Authorities

Former Trump attorney John Eastman submitted himself to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, with bail bondsman Scott Hall.

Eastman and Hall are the first defendants to surrender following the indictment brought against Trump and numerous associates by District Attorney Fani Willis.

The indictment involves alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Eastman said that he was surrendering “to an indictment that should never have been brought,” noting it was directed at “attorneys for their zealous advocacy on behalf of their clients.”

The indictment alleges that Eastman worked to push an “alternate” slate of electors to certify that Trump won the election.

Hall was accused of a voting systems breach and has been charged with conspiracy to commit computer trespass, conspiracy to commit computer theft, conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy, conspiracy to defraud Georgia, conspiracy to commit election fraud, and violating Georgia’s racketeering law.

Both Eastman and Hall were released on bond.
