Former President George W. Bush has remained silent about his voting plans for the 2024 presidential election.
Bush, a prominent Republican figure, has notably distanced himself from recent Republican Party dynamics, particularly former President Donald Trump.
Although he has voiced concerns about the state of U.S. politics, Bush has declined to reveal whether he will support Trump or another candidate.
“President Bush retired from presidential politics years ago,” the former president’s office said.
This silence reflects his ongoing avoidance of direct engagement in the party’s current political climate, raising questions about his stance on the upcoming election.
Earlier this week, Bush’s vice president Dick Cheney, endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
“In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” Cheney said.
“He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him,” he continued. “He can never be trusted with power again.”
