A former Orange County prosecutor and judge, Stewart Rosenwasser, allegedly took his own life on Tuesday as FBI agents arrived to arrest him on corruption charges.
The indictment accuses Rosenwasser of accepting a $63,000 bribe related to an embezzlement case he prosecuted in 2022.
As agents approached his home, Rosenwasser reportedly opened fire before turning the gun on himself.
The FBI is investigating the incident, stating they take all shootings involving their agents seriously.
