Former Navy Seal Believes China Will ‘Take Taiwan’ in 2024

Former U.S. Navy Seal Erik Prince believes China may “take Taiwan” in the spring of 2024.

Prince predicted the event to occur in the spring due to weather conditions.

“The weather window, if they are going to do something by force in Taiwan, opens around May or June because during most of the months of the year, it’s too windy,” he said.

“If they are going to take Taiwan by force I would predict that they are going to do something this spring,” Prince emphasized.

Earlier this week, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during an event commemorating the birth of the founder of the People’s Republic of China that he will not allow anyone to split Taiwan from China “in any way,” Business Standard reported.

“The realisation of the complete reunification with the motherland is an inevitable course of development, is righteous and what the people want. The motherland must and will be reunified,” he said.

The statement comes as Taiwan will elect a new leader in January.

President Xi Jinping also shared with U.S. President Joe Biden his plans to reunify Taiwan with China, according to an NBC News report.

In response to the comments, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) declared that the situation is “beyond unnerving.”

The senator said that he “will be working with Democratic and Republican Senators to do two things quickly. First, create a robust defense supplemental for Taiwan and second, draft pre-invasion sanctions from hell to impose on China if they take action to seize Taiwan.”

“I believe there is strong bipartisan support to stand up to Chinese communist aggression,” Graham noted.
