The initial images and designs of the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library in Miami were released on Monday.
Eric Trump, the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, shared a video of the library on social media. “The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library is officially here. Over the past six months, I have poured my heart and soul into this project with my incredible team at @Trump,” he wrote. “This landmark on the water in Miami, Florida will stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known.”
“These images have never been seen by the public — until today,” he added. “Enjoy!”
The video showcases a Boeing 747 plane believed to serve as Air Force One, as well as a VH-92A helicopter believed to be Marine One. The golden escalator, where President Trump first announced his plan to run for president in 2015, is also featured. A recreation of the Oval Office, the ballroom, and other scenes are further depicted.
In September, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and the Florida Cabinet passed a proposal to create the library in a 2.63-acre parcel in Miami-Dade County. “Having the Trump Presidential Library in Miami will be good for Florida, for the city, and for Miami Dade College,” DeSantis said in a statement. “No state has supported the president’s agenda more than the Free State of Florida, and I was proud to spearhead the effort to house this historic library right here in his home state.”
