Firebomb Terror Strikes Pro‑Israel Rally in Colorado

Armed with makeshift flamethrowers and Molotov cocktails, a man launched a firebomb attack on a “Run for Their Lives” solidarity walk in Boulder, Colorado, on June 1, 2025, injuring six elderly participants, two critically. The FBI is investigating the incident as a “targeted terror attack” after witnesses reported the suspect shouting “End Zionists” and “Free Palestine” during the assault.

Police, alerted at approximately 1:26 p.m. local time near 13th and Pearl Streets, found victims suffering burns and other injuries. An adult male suspect, reportedly 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, was arrested at the scene and also treated for injuries.

FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed the agency is treating the attack as ideologically motivated domestic terrorism. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis described the incident as “vicious” and condemned the violence. Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn affirmed the suspect’s detention and ongoing federal investigation.

The attack came during an event supporting Israeli hostages in Gaza and occurred amid heightened antisemitic threats nationwide. Community leaders and authorities expressed grave concern over the motivations and targeted nature of the assault.
