FBI Prevents Release of FOIA Requests Related to The Death of DNC Worker Seth Rich

Newly released documents reveal the FBI is preventing the release of FOIA requests relating to the murder of Democratic National Committee worker Seth Rich.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Documents recently released have revealed the FBI is yet again preventing the release of FOIA requests pertaining to the 2016 death of DNC worker Seth Rich.
  • According to The Gateway Pundit, the agency is reportedly covering up entire records systems from FOIA requestors and using links to systems that don’t work.
  • Rich was supposedly murdered in a “robbery” while walking home, although none of his valuables were taken.
  • Prior to this cover-up, the FBI allegedly claimed the DNC staffer had nothing to do with the transfer of emails to WikiLeaks without ever looking at his laptop, which was in their possession.
  • Journalist Joe Hoft reported in January 2023 that attorney Ty Clevenger had been requesting records from the FBI and Deep State for years related to the death of Rich, but “the FBI has done all it can to prevent what they know about Seth Rich from getting out.”
FORMER ARKANSAS GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE ON SETH RICH’S SUSPICIOUS MURDER:

“Since his shooting occurred soon after then-DNC chair John Podesta’s emails — quite damaging to the DNC and Hillary — were leaked to WikiLeaks, there was speculation that Rich, reportedly a Bernie Sanders supporter, might’ve been the real source of those leaks. Gee, it might not have been a Russian hack at all; we certainly have never seen proof that it was. Didn’t matter; the ‘Russian DNC hack’ narrative was the wellspring for the whole Russia Hoax. Take away the ‘Russian hack,’ and it all falls apart,” Huckabee wrote.

BACKGROUND:
  • In April 2021, the FBI produced 68 pages relating to Rich, who was shot dead in 2016 in Washington, including an investigative summary that appears to suggest someone could have paid for his death.
  • Rich was shot dead in the early morning hours on July 16, 2016, near his home in the nation’s capital.
  • The murder, which has yet to be solved to this day, fueled widespread media coverage, especially after WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange suggested that Rich was the person who provided internal DNC emails to WikiLeaks.
  • The released files in 2021 revealed top Department of Justice officials met in 2018 and discussed Rich’s murder and reviewed financial records but did not identify any unusual deposits or withdrawals.
  • Rich’s family has called the idea that Rich leaked documents to WikiLeaks a conspiracy theory.
