FBI Agent Carjacked

An FBI agent was carjacked in Washington, D.C on November 29.

The incident occurred as the district has seen a surge in crime.

The vehicle was recovered 25 minutes after authorities responded.

Police said the agency “reported two suspects took their vehicle,” according to The Washington Examiner.

“At this time, we can confirm that an FBI employee was carjacked on the afternoon of November 29. The vehicle was recovered, and the FBI Washington Field Office and the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force are investigating,” the bureau’s Washington Field Office said in a statement.

The FBI’s Washington Field Office released a poster of the suspects, asking the public to submit any pertinent information.

“An FBI Agent was carjacked at gunpoint in our nation’s capital this afternoon,” tweeted Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX). “You’re not even safe in Democrat-run Washington, D.C.”

According to Washington, D.C., crime data, motor vehicle theft has increased 93% between 2022-2023.
