Fauci Admits He Wore a Mask for ‘Theater’, Not ‘Science’: Sen. Rand Paul

Sen. Paul calls out Dr. Fauci for not accepting “basic vaccine science.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci stated on ABC News that he only wore a mask before the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) changed their official mask-wearing guidelines not because of the science but because he didn’t want it to “look like” he was “giving mixed signals.”

Watch Fauci’s response to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos:

However, this admission contradicts Fauci’s Senate testimony on Thursday during which he sparred with Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who pressed the fact that Fauci—a fully vaccinated man—was still wearing not just one mask but two in public.

Watch the heated exchange:

The vindicated Senator Paul appeared on Newsmax’s Spicer & Co. to call out Fauci’s doublespeak, retorting he was happy the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) Director now “accept[s] vaccine science.”

“Well, I’m just glad that Dr. Fauci has now chosen to accept vaccine science. Basic vaccine science says you can’t get it after you’ve been vaccinated. That’s why we get vaccinated,” said Paul.

“And yet he was unwilling to accept it. And he was performing theater wearing masks because he didn’t want people to see him without a mask. It wasn’t that the masks worked or that he needed it. You heard the way he phrased it. He didn’t want someone to see him without the mask. So, really, it was theater,” Paul added.
