Explosion at Texas Dairy Farm Kills 18,000 Cows, One Person

A devastating explosion at South Fork Dairy Farm in Dimmitt, Texas, has claimed the lives of 18,000 cows and one person, American Military News reports.

The explosion occurred on Monday afternoon, and video footage captured the event showing a massive mushroom cloud of smoke hovering over the farm.

The Castro County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and issued a statement the following day, saying that the explosion occurred at the South Fork Dairy Farms located on the 1600 block of CR 624.

The statement went on to say that one person was trapped inside the building, and firefighters were able to locate and rescue the individual.

The victim was flown to UMC Hospital in Lubbock and is reportedly in critical condition.

Thankfully, all other employees were accounted for.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown, and authorities are investigating the incident.
