The former president endorsed 22 candidates in the two states.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Every candidate backed by former President Donald Trump won their primary races in Ohio and Indiana, according to a source speaking exclusively to Breitbart News
  • The former president backed 22 GOP candidates across the two states who primaried on Tuesday ending in a clean sweep for Trump.
  • In addition to some of his personal endorsements due to the candidate’s records, in some cases, Trump backed newcomers who were challenging proven liberal incumbents, as in the case of Congressman Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, who voted to impeach Trump.
TRUMP’S COMMENTS ON THE RACE:
  • Former White House political director Brian Jack said, “What we saw in Texas earlier this year was confirmed yet again tonight: President Trump’s endorsement is the most important endorsement in politics.”
  • “His endorsed candidates are a combined 55-0 in 2022 primaries, a continuation of the historic endorsement streak of success that started during his time at The White House,” Jack went on to say.
  • Trump said of the Ohio incumbent for Congress who was beaten by his Trump-backed candidate Max Miller: “RINO Congressman Anthony Gonzalez, who has poorly represented his district in the Great State of Ohio, has decided to quit after enduring a tremendous loss of popularity, of which he had little, since his ill-informed and otherwise very stupid impeachment vote.”
