Elon Musk Threatens Legal Action Against Democratic Rep. For Making Threatening Remarks

Elon Musk has threatened legal action against former Rep. Jamaal Bowman after Bowman made defamatory remarks on CNN, calling Musk a “Nazi” and a “thief.” Musk took to X to respond, stating, “I’ve had enough. Lawsuit inbound.”

Bowman, who lost his Democratic primary last July to a more centrist pro-Israel candidate, criticized Musk’s leadership and claimed that mass layoffs at Musk’s companies demonstrated incompetence. He further accused Musk of wrongdoing, prompting outrage from Musk and his supporters.

The controversy escalated after left-wing media outlets accused Musk of making a “Nazi salute” during Trump’s inauguration, a claim his mother, Maye Musk, has urged him to sue over. Other progressive figures, such as Rep. Ayanna Pressley, have also used similar rhetoric, calling Musk a “Nazi nepo baby.”

Bowman has remained a divisive figure, having been censured by the House in 2023 for pulling a fire alarm in an apparent attempt to delay a government vote. His primary loss was largely attributed to his anti-Israel stance, which drew heavy opposition from AIPAC.

Musk’s potential legal action has gained support from conservatives, including journalist Andy Ngo, who has been a vocal critic of left-wing extremism.

Musk has made the maximum donations to Republican lawmakers who support impeaching judges blocking the efforts of the Trump administration, according to a report from The New York Times.

Musk has provided $6,600 to the campaigns of 7 Republicans: Reps. Eli Crane (AZ), Lauren Boebert (CO), Andy Ogles (TN), Andrew Clyde (GA), Derrick Van Orden (WI), Brandon Gill (TX), and Senator Chuck Grassley (IA).

Gill, Ogles, and Orden have introduced resolutions to impeach judges who are working against in opposition to the Trump agenda.

Crane said of the donation that the Republicans have not called for impeachments in order to receive campaign donations, noting he thinks “it’s great that individuals like Elon are throwing support behind those of us willing to take action.”
