East Palestine, Ohio, Begins Using Digital ID

East Palestine, Ohio, is introducing a medical digital ID that first responders can use to access a patient’s allergy information, medical conditions, and emergency contacts. The technology, MyID, is designed to aid first responders if a patient is unresponsive.

From Reclaim the Net:

The MyID devices will be key FOBs or wearable devices with QR codes that first responders can scan with a camera to access vital medical information like allergies, underlying medical conditions, and emergency contacts. Authorities insist the system is HIPPA compliant.
