The Vatican’s “World Children’s Day” on May 25th featured a drag performer.
The performer, Carmine De Rosa, wore suggestive costumes and danced in front of young children.
De Rosa shared on TikTok, “Today on stage at the Olympic stadium in Rome for World Children’s Day announced by Pope Francis,” adding, “What a great emotion!”

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò condemned the act.
“This is one of the characters called by the Argentine Jesuit as an entertainer at World Children’s Day. It is now clear that Bergoglio is one of the main activists of the hellish LGBTQ + agenda,” he wrote on X.
“There are no more words to express the scandal and disgust, in the complicit and cowardly silence of the Episcopate.’ Whoever scandalises even one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for him if a millstone turned into a donkey’s wheel were hung around his neck, and he were cast into the depths of the sea’ (Mt 18:6).”
World Children’s Day is scheduled to take place again in 2026.
According to the event’s website, “Fifty thousand faithful were present in St. Peter’s Square for the Mass for the World Day dedicated to the little ones. On the day in which the Church remembers the Holy Trinity, Francis dialogues with them, remembering the love of the Father and ‘Jesus who forgives everything and always.'”
