Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan (R-OH) stated that “dozens and dozens” of whistleblowers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have come forward to share how the agency has been politicized. One former agent shared that coming forward was “putting a target” on herself, but she chose to speak on behalf of “numerous current and former bureau employees who feel similarly that they do not have a voice.” Another former FBI agent stated the agency’s politicization began under former Director Robert Mueller, who “set out deliberately to change the culture of the FBI from a law enforcement agency to an intelligence-driven agency,” said the whistleblower.

“In my time in Congress, I have never seen anything like this,” Jordan noted during the hearing. “It’s not Jim Jordan saying this, not Republicans, not conservatives, good FBI agents who are willing to come forward and give us the truth.”
