Democratic VP Pick Tim Walz Reportedly Donated $100K to Muslim Cleric Who Praised Hamas

Governor Tim Walz’s has reportedly donated to a Muslim cleric who has a record of making deeply concerning statements online, including praise for Adolf Hitler and support for Hamas in the aftermath of the horrific attacks on innocent Israelis on October 7.

In recent years, Imam Asad Zaman has utilized his Facebook page to disseminate troubling content, including official Hamas press releases, posts from antisemitic websites, and a link to the 2015 pro-Hitler film, “The Greatest Story Never Told.”

This film, which was released in 2013, is recognized by the Anti-Defamation League as a piece of antisemitic propaganda that has gained popularity among extremist fringe groups.

Walz’s administration has also allegedly provided over $100,000 in funding to Zaman’s organization, the Muslim American Society of Minnesota.

According to state records reviewed by the Washington Examiner, this financial support raises significant questions about the governor’s judgment and priorities.

The Muslim American Society, as noted by federal prosecutors, was described in court records as having been “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S.”

The Muslim Brotherhood has long been associated with extremist ideologies, and its influence in the United States has been a topic of concern among national security experts.

Critics argue that these actions by Walz’s administration reflect a dangerous disregard for the potential risks posed by such associations.
