Dan Crenshaw Calls House Republicans Who Don’t Support McCarthy for Speaker ‘Terrorists’

Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has called the 20 Republican representatives who are refusing to vote for Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House “terrorists.”

In an interview with Fox Radio, Rep. Crenshaw stated that he and others have been forced into a “corner” and will only vote for McCarthy.

The Texas representative went on to liken fellow Republican House members who disagree with him to terrorists. “We cannot let the terrorists win. That’s basically what’s happening,” he said.

On Tuesday, Crenshaw referred to those same colleagues as “enemies,” and on Wednesday he said they should “shut the [expletive] up.”

He also called into question his male peers’ manhood and mocked the notion that the U.S. political system is “broken,” even though a majority of Americans now believe the country is on the “wrong track.”

“They need to be men and adults and say what they want, instead of playing these little games, that’s what we’re asking,” Crenshaw said. “That’s what I’ve asked them. Some of them are my friends. Stop saying platitudes like, ‘Washington is broken. We can’t do the status quo.’”
