Conservatives Blame ‘McLeadership’ for Midterm Results, Not Trump

A Rasmussen poll suggests Conservatives and Republicans attribute midterm losses to Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Republican Party Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel rather than Donald Trump. GOP leaders were quick to blame Trump for underperformance, although Conservative voters believe otherwise. The poll reported that only 16% of responders fault individual candidates for midterms, whereas 43% blamed Republican leadership. Only 20% blamed Trump.

From The National Pulse:

They were asked: “Republicans did not do as well in this vear’s elections as many had expected. Who is most to blame for this, the individual candidates, the Republican Party leadership, Donald Trump? Or is it nobody’s fault?”

Seventeen percent of those asked said it was “nobody’s fault,” while five percent were unsure.
