Company Launches First AI Robot CEO

A spirits company released the first artificial intelligence (AI) CEO.

Dictador, a rum producer, first announced the move in September 2022.

“The new CEO is a human-like robot, incorporating AI. The robot is a woman, named Mika. She will be the official face of Dictador, the world’s most forward-looking luxury rum producer,” the company said at the time. “This bold move consolidates the company’s position as one of the most advanced and thought-leading organizations globally.”

“My decision-making process relies on extensive data analysis and aligning with the company’s strategic objectives,” the robot stated.

“It’s devoid of personal bias, ensuring unbiased, strategic choices that prioritize the organization’s best interests,” the AI CEO continued.

Hanson Robotics CEO David Hanson, who helped design Mika, told Fox News that “humanizing” AI is essential.

“I feel very strongly that we need to teach A.I. to care about people for A.I. to be really safe, to be really, really good. I think humanizing that is a very important direction,” he said.
