Collapsing American Cities Is ‘Not My Concern’ Says Pence as He Calls For More Support to Ukraine (Video)

As a new development unfolds in the American political discourse, former Vice President and prospective 2024 Republican presidential candidate, Mike Pence, has come under fire for his focus on overseas issues while seemingly sidelining the pressing domestic crises.

His proposition of deploying American tanks to Ukraine has sparked a backlash, most notably from the outspoken ex-Fox News host, Tucker Carlson.

Pence’s perceived disregard for the deteriorating domestic scenario was met with pointed critique from Carlson who bluntly stated, “I’m sorry, Mr. Vice President. You are distressed that the Ukrainians don’t have enough American tanks?”

The sharp query appeared to echo a broader concern about escalating crises within American cities over the last three years.

Carlson, famed for his no-nonsense style, painted a grim picture of the urban decay and social issues affecting America.

Drawing attention to these issues, he lamented, “Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past three years. Drive around. There’s not one city that’s gotten better. And it’s visible. Our economy has degraded, the suicide rate has jumped, public filth, and disorder and crime have exponentially increased.”

His critique of Pence didn’t end there.

Carlson castigated the former Vice President’s international focus, hinting at a disconnect between Pence’s priorities and the realities faced by many Americans.

“Your concern is that the Ukrainians, a country most people can’t find on a map, don’t have enough tanks? I think it’s a fair question to ask: Where’s the concern for the United States in that?” he asked.

Responding to the strong critique from the former Fox News host, Pence seemed to distance himself from the domestic issues underscored by Carlson.

The former Vice President responded to Carlson’s critique with a dismissive statement, indicating a startling lack of concern for the country’s internal problems.

Pence retorted, “I’ve heard that routine from you before, but that’s not my concern.”

The critique by the former Fox News host seems to have stoked the flames of a much larger debate about America’s focus on foreign policy over pressing domestic issues.
