CNN’s Don Lemon Calls For Fox News To Be Banned From White House Briefings

CNN anchor Don Lemon called for the White House to ban Fox News from press briefings because they’re not a “real news organization.”

“Why does Jen Psaki continue to call on Fox in the briefing room?” Lemon asked a panel on Monday night.

“If your network is promoting B.S. and lies about what is actually happening in the country, and helping to inspire and incite an insurrection, why should they even be able to take part in legitimate press briefing and legitimate journalism?”

“Why did they even allow Fox to pretend in the briefing room they’re a real news organization?” he asked again.

CNN correspondent Brian Stelter claimed Fox News “has changed dramatically” since the emergence of Trump.

“What we have to do is recognize it [Fox News] for what it is,” Stelter said, adding the network “leans so far from reality.”

Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald noted CNN’s double standard pertaining to press freedom by highlighting its coverage of former President Trump versus WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

“CNN threw a gigantic hissy fit when the Trump WH revoked the press credentials of @Acosta for a few days on the ground that he is a liar. They acted as if he were getting the Assange treatment. Now Don Lemon is explicitly advocating Fox be banned completely from WH Briefings,” Greenwald tweeted Tuesday.

Lemon is simply attempting to smear the competition and distract from his own network’s recent scandals.

For instance, a top CNN producer was recently charged with horrific sexual abuse of young children.

Days before that, pundit Chris Cuomo was fired by CNN for using his influence to dig up dirt on women accusing his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, of sexual harassment.

Fox News has been regularly drawing in more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined for months.

Meanwhile, Lemon’s over here fawning over Joe Biden when absurdly high gas prices dip by 5 cents — now that’s journalism!
