The House Oversight Committee has issued subpoenas for President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, among other former officials, for testimony related to crimes surrounding Jeffrey Epstein.
Those subpoenaed to appear for deposition by Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) are:
- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: October 9
- Former President Bill Clinton: October 14
- Former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland: October 2
- Former FBI Director James Comey: October 7
- Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr: August 18
- Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales: August 26
- Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions: August 28
- Former FBI Director Robert Mueller: September 2
- Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch: September 9
- Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder: September 30
The action comes as a House Oversight subcommittee moved last month to issue the subpoenas.
“I have a motion to subpoena the following individuals to expand the full committee’s investigation into Miss Maxwell – and the list reads as follows,” Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) said. “William Jefferson Clinton, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton, James Brian Comey, Loretta Elizabeth Lynch, Eric Hampton Holder, Jr., Merrick Brian Garland, Robert Swan Mueller III, William Pelham Barr, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions the third, and Alberto Gonzales. That’s the full list, Mr. Chairman. And that’s the motion.”
Following the motion, which passed by a voice vote, Perry told reporters, “I just think it’s important that the American people know what’s occurred.”
The House Oversight Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement also voted to subpoena the Justice Department to release the Epstein files.
