Scientists in China have experimented on mice with a virus that was discovered to be 100% lethal.
According to a prepping paper published on bioRxiv, the scientists wrote that the results were “surprising.”
“Surprisingly, all the mice that were infected with the live virus succumbed to the infection within 7-8 days post-inoculation, rendering a mortality rate of 100%.”
After being infected with a virus, the four mice began losing weight.
The mice then became sluggish and had white eyes.
Scientists infected more mice to analyze their organs, finding that there were high levels of viral RNA in the “brain, lung, turbinate, eye, and trachea.”
No or low amounts of viral RNA was discovered in the “heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, tongue, stomach, and intestines.”
The scientists warned that the virus may “spill over into humans.”
