Casey Anthony Launches TikTok Announcing ‘Legal Advocacy’ Career

Casey Anthony, the Florida woman famously acquitted in the 2011 trial over her daughter’s death, has re-emerged—this time as a self-proclaimed legal advocate. Over the weekend, Anthony took to TikTok to promote her new role, stating she aims to support “the LGBTQ community [and] women’s rights.” She directed viewers to a Substack account where she plans to share legal insights and resources.

Anthony, who waited months before reporting the disappearance of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, in 2008, claims she has worked in the legal field since 2011. She now says her goal is to “help give a voice to people” and offer guidance to those in need. However, given the highly publicized nature of her past, her announcement has been met with skepticism.

Anthony’s murder trial remains one of the most controversial in modern history. Prosecutors argued that she was a neglectful mother who saw her daughter as an obstacle to her party lifestyle. They accused her of using chloroform to incapacitate Caylee before disposing of her remains in a wooded area behind the family’s Orlando home. When Caylee’s skeletal remains were found six months later, duct tape was wrapped around her skull.

Despite the circumstantial evidence, the jury acquitted Anthony of murder, believing the prosecution had not definitively proven its case. She was, however, convicted of lying to police and served four years in prison.

Following her trial, Anthony became one of the most infamous figures in America, facing relentless media scrutiny. Her defense attorneys argued she had been unfairly vilified, while critics viewed the acquittal as a miscarriage of justice on par with O.J. Simpson’s.

Now, more than a decade later, her attempt to step into the legal advocacy space raises serious questions. Will the public be willing to accept her as a credible voice? Or is this simply another chapter in an already infamous legacy?
