As President Donald Trump stands firm on his America First trade policy, a Canadian brewery has taken a swipe at the president — marketing a four-year supply of beer for Americans who oppose Trump’s leadership.
Moosehead Breweries, a well-known Canadian beer company, is now selling a “Presidential Pack” containing 1,461 cans of Canadian lager, representing one beer per day for four years — the length of Trump’s presidential term. The company is clearly pandering to anti-Trump sentiment and attempting to profit from the growing divide between pro-Trump and anti-Trump Americans.
The pack, which costs approximately $2,478, is only available to certain Canadian provinces. The packaging takes a clear jab at Trump, stating:
“We can’t predict how the next four years will go, but considering how 2025 started, we have a feeling this many beers will come in handy.”
The timing of this anti-Trump marketing stunt for this brewery coincides with Trump’s firm stance on trade negotiations. The president has made it clear that he intends to prioritize American workers and businesses — a stance that has prompted retaliatory measures from Canada, including removing American-made wine and spirits from their shelves.
The root of the tension stems from Trump’s threat to impose a 25% tariff on certain Canadian imports. His administration has been unwavering in its commitment to hold foreign countries accountable for unfair trade practices— a move that Canada and its left-leaning allies have condemned.
However, Trump briefly postponed the tariffs on Thursday, allowing more time for negotiations. Despite the delay, Canada has continued its anti-Trump rhetoric, using petty marketing tactics like this beer stunt to mock the U.S. president and his supporters.
While Canada has benefited significantly from U.S. trade agreements in the past, Trump’s commitment to fair tradehas disrupted their preferential treatment — and now Canadian businesses are resorting to mocking the American president as a form of retaliation.
Rather than supporting a balanced trade relationship, Moosehead Breweries is fueling division by targeting anti-Trump Americans and encouraging them to drown their sorrows in Canadian beer. Meanwhile, Trump remains focused on protecting American industries — a priority that has long been neglected until now.
