82-Year-Old Woman Dies After Anti-Semitic Terror Attack in Boulder

The tragic aftermath of an anti‑Semitic firebombing in Boulder turned deadly when 82‑year‑old Karen Diamond passed away from her injuries sustained during a June 1 terror attack. Prosecutors filed two first‑degree murder charges Monday against 45‑year‑old Mohamed Soliman, an illegal immigrant from Egypt, after he assaulted Diamond and 28 peaceful pro‑Israel demonstrators using Molotov cocktails and a makeshift flamethrower.

Colorado’s District Attorney announced Soliman now faces over 100 state charges, including 52 counts of attempted first‑degree murder and 16 counts related to incendiary devices. Soliman also faces 12 federal charges, to which he pleaded not guilty during Friday’s hearing. If convicted, Soliman faces life without parole and decades more for the attempted murders.

Soliman confessed after his arrest, claiming he “wanted to kill all Zionist people” and declared he’d act again. In a chilling recorded statement, he professed, “jihad for Allah’s sake … are more beloved to me than you and the whole world,” placing his extremist ideology above his family .

This brutal act echoes other recent anti‑Jewish violence—including a terrorist’s slaying of two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C.—highlighting a disturbing wave of hate crimes since Hamas’s October 2023 terror attacks. President Trump responded by revoking visas for foreign nationals involved in anti‑Semitic activity and cutting federal funding to universities that fail to protect Jewish students.
