Unvaxxed Bills Player Fined $100K for Breaking COVID Protocol

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley fined on multiple occasions, totaling around $100,000 over COVID-19 protocols.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Buffalo Bills’ Cole Beasley has been fined around $100,000 over multiple COVID-19 protocol breaches according to The Hill.
  • ESPN reported that the NFL first fined the player in August when he didn’t comply with special safety measures put in place for unvaccinated players.
  • The NFL discovered the violation when they were visiting the Bills’ team facility to review their coronavirus protocols.
  • Currently, players in the NFL receive money for games that they miss due to COVID-19, which Beasley did recently. However, the NFL is reportedly looking to change that policy for unvaccinated players.
  • Beasley is one of several players receiving different treatments due to their decision to decline the medical treatment recommended by the league according to The Dallas Morning News.
WHAT DOES BEASLEY HAVE TO SAY:
  • “Just to be clear COVID is not keeping me out of this game,” Beasley said in a Tuesday post. “Vaxxed players are playing with Covid every week now because they don’t test. One of my vaxxed teammates is in the hospital missing games. I’m sure he didn’t get this same energy. Thank you for those who support. Everyone else, if you don’t get what’s happening then there is nothing anybody can do for you.”
  • “I’m not anti- or pro-vax — I’m pro-choice,” Beasley said in July. “With that being said, the issue at hand is information being withheld from players in order for a player to be swayed in a direction he may not be comfortable with.”
BACKGROUND:
  • Beasley is one of a number of Americans who have chosen not to take on the risk associated with the COVID-19 vaccination, as is demonstrated by the more than 20,000 deaths attributed to the vaccine.
  • The reported adverse reactions to the vaccination now total almost a million reports, according to data compiled by the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) as of December 17.
  • The death count does not account for those whose physicians or examiners choose not to attribute the cause of death to the shots, despite the number of heart-related deaths, even occurring within days of one of the vaccinations.
  • As of September of 2021, it was estimated that around a third of Americans had not received any vaccinations for COVID-19.
