Biden Releases Campaign Ad Describing ‘Extremist Movement’

The Biden campaign released a campaign ad cautioning against an “extremist movement.”

“Something dangerous is happening in America,” Biden says in the video, as images of the January 6 U.S. Capitol event flash on the screen. “There is an extremist movement that does not share the basic beliefs in our democracy.

“All of us are being asked right now, ‘What will we do to maintain our democracy?'” he continued. “History’s watching. The world is watching. And most important, our children and grandchildren will hold us responsible.”

“The vice president and I have supported voting rights since day one of this administration and I ask every American to join me in this cause,” Biden adds. “America is still a place of possibilities, where the power resides in ‘We the People.'”

“That’s our soul,” he declares. “We are the United States of America. There is nothing beyond our capacity when we act together.”

Several members of Biden’s campaign staff wrote an open letter to the U.S. President, calling for an end to the ‘violence occurring in Gaza.”

“We write to you as the current staff of your re-election campaign. As we work to mobilize voters to cast their ballots for you in 2024, we must take a moment to acknowledge our tremendous grief, and the grief shared by countless other Americans, toward the violence occurring in Gaza,” the campaign staff wrote.

They noted that they joined the campaign to fight for “justice, empathy, and our belief in the dignity of human life,” but have found that the Biden administration’s “response to Israel’s indiscriminate bombing in Gaza has been fundamentally antithetical to those values.”

The authors called for Biden to use “financial and diplomatic leverage to bring about — an immediate, permanent ceasefire.”
