Biden Jokes About Ice Cream Before Addressing Nashville School Shooting

President Joe Biden’s apparent lack of decorum was evident in his remarks following the tragic shooting at a Nashville charter school, where six people, including three children, lost their lives, BizPac Review reported.

Speaking at the SBA Women’s Business Summit, Biden began by joking about his love for ice cream before acknowledging the presence of children in the room.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m Dr. Jill Biden’s husband. And I eat Jeni’s Ice Cream, chocolate chip,” Biden said. “I came down because I heard there was chocolate chip ice cream. By the way, I have a whole refrigerator full upstairs. You think I’m kidding, I’m not.”

Biden continued with his joking demeanor, commenting on his siblings’ intelligence and their age differences before turning his attention to the Nashville school shooting, where the shooter reportedly had two assault weapons and a pistol, inaccurately stating that the shooter was armed with AK-47s.

“We’re monitoring the situation really closely,” Biden said. “And we have to do more to stop gun violence. It’s ripping our communities apart, ripping the soul of this nation, ripping at the very soul of the nation. And we have to do more to protect our schools so they aren’t turned into prisons.”
