The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has reportedly fired Sam Brinton, the “openly genderfluid” Deputy assistant secretary following two accusations of luggage theft.

- “Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee,” a DOE spokesperson said Monday. “By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters.”
- The firing comes after the former ‘non-binary drag queen’ was seen in a surveillance video taking the tag off a bag and possessing women’s luggage worth over $2000.
- “If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don’t have any clothes for another individual. That was my clothes when I opened the bag,” Brinton told police at the time.
- Brinton then allegedly contacted the officer again two hours later and apologized for not being “completely honest.”
NON-BINARY SAM BRINTON ON BEING “QUALIFIED” TO SERVE AS DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY:
“There’s been a lot of people who are quite upset that don’t think that I am quite as qualified as others,” Brinton said in October. “I respond with multiple graduate degrees from MIT, a decade of working in nuclear policy and the strongest enthusiasm for working in nuclear waste out of anybody.”
BACKGROUND:
- In February 2022, Brinton was hired as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition and claimed he went by his drag queen name of “Sister Ray Dee O’Active.”
- Brinton was also an active member of a drag queen society in Washington, D.C. known as the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”
- The ex-Biden employee’s website claims “he shows young men and women everywhere he goes that they can be who they are and gives them courage.” Once, while he was walking around Disney World in 6-inch stilettos with his boyfriend, a young gay boy saw Sam with his boyfriend and started crying. He told his mother, “It’s true, Mom. WE can be our own princess here.”
