Biden Administration Reportedly More Involved in ‘Parent-Terrorists’ Letter Than Previously Suspected

The Biden administration was more involved in the creation of the National School Boards Association’s controversial “domestic terrorism” letter than previously suspected, according to new documents reviewed by Fox News

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona reportedly “solicited” the NSBA’s Sept. 29 letter that petitioned the Biden administration to deploy the Justice Department, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security to investigate parents who oppose school masking policies and the teaching of racial essentialism.

The letter suggested school board protests could be considered a form of “domestic terrorism.” As such, the letter argued the White House should consider using the USA PATRIOT Act against certain parents and community activists.

The White House answered the call.

On Oct. 4, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the federal government would use its considerable powers and resources to investigate and possibly prosecute parents and community activists who oppose school mandates and hypersexual and racialist curricula.

Later, during a congressional hearing, Garland confirmed the NSBA’s letter was the impetus for creating the federal task force.

Following Garland’s testimony, it was revealed Biden administration officials had actually helped draft the NSBA’s letter to justify their own subsequent actions. Emails show the school board group coordinated with the White House before making the letter publicly available.

Now, according to new email exchanges, it appears the education secretary himself, who in his previous role as Connecticut’s education secretary said he wanted educators to become “more woke,” had “solicited” the very letter the DOJ now cites as justification for its federal anti-parent task force.

“The email exchange indicates Cardona was more involved with the letter’s creation than previously known,” Fox News reports. “In the Oct. 5 email, NSBA Secretary-Treasurer Kristi Swett recounted that NSBA interim CEO Chip Slaven ‘told the officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona.’”

The emails were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request submitted by the Parents Defending Education.

“Should this allegation be true, it would reveal that this administration’s pretextual war on parents came from the highest levels,” PDE President Nicole Neily told Fox News.

“Attorney General Merrick Garland unequivocally stated that he based his memo on the NSBA’s letter — which in turn mobilized the FBI and U.S. attorneys,” Neily said. “If Secretary Cardona was truly involved in this ugly episode, it is a significant breach of public trust, and he should be held accountable.”

I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: The White House “stove-piped” parents. They coordinated with third parties to create shocking news reports that would justify their own subsequent power grab.

The Biden administration used the same technique on school board protesters that the federal government used to sell the public on Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq and the yearslong Russia-collusion conspiracy theory.

Garland says he can’t conceive a scenario in which the DOJ would use the PATRIOT Act against parents. Then again, no one likely thought the White House would “stove-pipe” parents in this way. So, perhaps take the attorney general’s noncommittal assurances with a grain of salt.
