Biden Admin. Welcomes More Illegals Proposing ‘Free’ Taxpayer-Funded Health Care

The Biden admin. released a rule this week, extending eligibility for taxpayer-funded healthcare to individuals coming into the U.S. illegally.

QUICK FACTS:
  • The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a rule that would extend eligibility for Medicaid and Obamacare health coverage to those enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
  • The move would provide nearly $2 billion in taxpayer-funded subsidies to over 500,000 illegal immigrants living in the United States.
  • Before releasing the proposed rule, the White House official website “helpfully” noted that “DACA recipients should take note of the numerous federal programs, opportunities, and resources that have been and continue to be available to them,” including jobs programs, subsidized mortgages, and federal tax credits.
  • “President Biden believes that DACA recipients strengthen our economy and enrich our workplaces, our schools and communities, and our country as a whole,” the website states.
  • The administration instructed DACA recipients to apply for coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, “where they may qualify for financial assistance based on income, and through their state Medicaid agency.”
FLORIDA SENATOR BLAISE INGOGLIA ON BIDEN’S DIRECT IMPACT ON THE BORDER CRISIS:

“The border crisis this nation is experiencing is a direct result of the federal government refusing to enforce immigration laws,” Ingoglia said.

BACKGROUND:
  • In December 2022, the Biden administration reportedly cut the number of illegal immigrants being deported from towns across the US by more than 90%.
  • Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued “sanctuary country” orders two times last year in an effort to ensure millions of illegal immigrants were not eligible for arrest and deportation back to their country.
  • Public records from the Center for Immigration Studies revealed that the current administration has reduced deportations of illegals in all but two of the nation’s most populated counties.
  • Most notably, Biden’s DHS eliminated deportations by more than 90 percent in four of the highest volume counties in the US, including Gwinnett County, Georgia, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Bergen County, New Jersey, and Kankakee County, Illinois.
  • Biden’s DHS has given more than a million illegals ‘humanitarian parole,’ and continues to hand it out to around more than 150,000 crossing the border a month, sending only about 35 percent back to Mexico under Title 42 or other authorities.
  • As of November 2022, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) reported that the total number of people who have entered the United States illegally since Biden took office had climbed to 5.5 million.
  • Dan Stein, president of FAIR, shared the stark number during an interview on NTD’s “Capitol Report” program, which followed a recent announcement by the Biden administration that nearly 2.8 million illegal border crossers were stopped in the fiscal year ended in September, a record high.
  • “It’s pretty straightforward,” Stein said at the time. “If you look at the entire period, it’s about 5.5 million since Biden took office,” adding that FAIR projections estimate the cost to taxpayers to be $20 billion.
