Biden Admin Gives Moderna $176 Million to Develop mRNA Vaccine for “Future Flu Pandemic”

Biotech giants and the Biden Administration are quickly showing their cards leading up to 2025 with premature plans for yet another pandemic.

The Biden administration has announced a $176 million dollar partnership with Moderna to develop a new mRNA flu vaccine in preparation for a “future pandemic.”

As the bird flu (H5N1) continues to devastate farms across America, scientists are rushing to produce a vaccine should this turn into a national, if not global, health concern.

Human-to-human transmission has not been reported for the bird flu, but numerous workers have been reported as positive for the disease.

The funding was awarded to Moderna by the Department of Health and Human Services as a means to help the biotech giant fund late-stage clinical testing. Moderna is reporting that these tests are on track to take place in 2025.

While critics quickly claim that this is a premature move considering no human-to-human transmissions have been reported, DHHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response Dawn O’Connell explains, “Our job is to be prepared should that change…If you had asked any expert in 2018 what they expected to be the next pandemic, they would have said a highly virulent flu.”

This agreement aims to leverage the same technology used in Moderna’s COVID-19 as it is easily malleable.
