Biden Admin Denies RFK Jr. Secret Service Protection

In a surprising revelation on Friday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.), a Democratic candidate for the 2024 U.S. Presidential election, disclosed through a tweet that he has not been provided Secret Service protection, despite his requests.

This standard protocol, he noted, has been in place for presidential candidates since his father’s assassination in 1968.

“Since the assassination of my father in 1968, candidates for president are provided Secret Service protection. But not me.” Kennedy Jr. said.

Kennedy Jr. further elaborated that his request for protection has been ignored for an extended period.

According to him, the standard procedure requires a response within a fortnight to protection requests from presidential candidates.

However, his request has remained unattended for an astounding 88 days, even after numerous follow-ups initiated by his campaign.

“Typical turnaround time for pro forma protection requests from presidential candidates is 14-days. After 88-days of no response and after several follow-ups by our campaign, the Biden Administration just denied our request,” said Kennedy Jr.

He made it known that the denial came from U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who simply stated, “I have determined that Secret Service protection for Robert F Kennedy Jr is not warranted at this time.”

Kennedy Jr. stated that his campaign had included a comprehensive 67-page report from a top global protection firm while making the request.

This report meticulously detailed specific and substantiated security threats, well beyond typical death threats.

“Our campaign’s request included a 67-page report from the world’s leading protection firm, detailing unique and well established security and safety risks aside from commonplace death threats.” Kennedy Jr. noted, expressing his disappointment at the lack of action from the Biden Administration.
